Enzo Rivas is a Paralegal on the Immigrant Children & Youth team. Before joining GHIRP, they worked with Detained Adults at YMCA International Services as a Legal Assistant and later as a DOJ Accredited Representative. Enzo graduated from the University of Houston with a BA in Political Science and a minor in US Ethnic Studies. They are very dedicated to bridging the gap in access to legal services and representation to Houston’s immigrant community. Of Salvadoran descent, they have studied and immersed themself in understanding the geopolitical issues of Central America to further understand factors that impact and drive migration to the United States and how to best serve clients navigate the complex immigration system. While working in the Houston area, Enzo has advocated for LGBTQ+ clients and brought awareness in the approach and services provided particularly with the Transgender community.
