Abigail (Abby) is a Paralegal with the Immigrant Children & Youth (ICY) program. She graduated from the University of North Texas with a BA in Social Work and will earn a JD from South Texas College of Law in 2023. Before joining GHIRP, she was licensed by the Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners and she completed several public interest internships with organizations such as Catholic Charities- Crime Victims Program, Juvenile Probation Mental Health Court- SOAR Program, and Rotary International- Ecuador. Abby is dedicated to advocating for immigrant rights and passionate about empowering vulnerable youth, using a trauma-informed approach, as they navigate a complex legal system.
